Lindsey Boman, LPC
Lindsey Boman enjoys working with adults, those in the military, medical professions, those with complex trauma, and first responders. She has extensive training in EMDR therapy which is an empirically validated treatment that helps clients to process traumatic or “stuck” experiences more efficiently. She also has experience and training in exposure therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, restoration therapy, internal family systems theory, somatic and other mindfulness-based approaches to therapy.
Meet Lindsey
Lindsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with a strong clinical and research background. She earned her Master’s degree in Psychology from West Texas A&M University, where she developed a deep interest in clinical research. During her graduate studies, Lindsey completed a thesis examining the neurobehavioral effects of long-term Risperidone (antipsychotic) treatment. This work was later published in the Journal of Behavioral Brain Research.
Lindsey believes her foundation in research allows her to remain open, curious, and continually engaged in learning about therapeutic approaches that may best support her clients.
Clinical Experience
Lindsey completed her practicum at the Amarillo VA, where she worked with military personnel experiencing depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, and PTSD. She later served as a Drug Court Counselor within adult probation, supporting individuals facing depression, trauma, postpartum depression, grief, anxiety, attachment wounds, and substance use recovery.
