My Story

Arlette has been dedicated to educational and counseling settings since 2006. Her journey began at Amarillo Montessori Academy, where she worked in early childhood education while pursuing her college degree, gaining insights into best practices for early academic achievement. Over the years, Arlette accumulated over 12 years of experience in education across all levels, from preschool to high school.

It was during her time as an elementary counselor at a refugee relocation site that Arlette discovered her passion for social justice advocacy and working with at-risk populations. Her diverse experience includes leading grief and domestic violence support groups, facilitating substance abuse treatment, and providing psychoeducation and counseling for adult probation clients. Arlette has actively contributed to professional counseling associations both locally and statewide, serving as President, Member-at-Large, and on the Bylaws Committee for the Texas Counseling Association.

Committed to continuous learning, Arlette stays updated on the latest research and best practices in psychotherapy. She recently obtained her supervision license and looks forward to mentoring future therapists. Her greatest passion lies in advocating for vulnerable individuals in her community.
