My Story

“Hello! My name is Jaime. I would like to share with you part of my own journey that has led me to walking with and supporting clients in their journey to healing and change.”

Jaime began her professional journey teaching science to high school students in Amarillo. She transitioned to teaching general biology, as well as anatomy and physiology, to university students for a number of years. This provided her with insight into the lives of adolescents and young adults, cultivating a passion and desire for helping people. With a heart for those with mental health concerns, Jaime made the decision to enter the counseling profession.

In addition to a Master of Arts in Counseling, Jaime earned a Master of Science in Biology at West Texas A&M University, with a focus on human anatomy and physiology. This experience equipped her with a specialized understanding of the nervous system and how it is intricately linked to mental health issues. Along with the skills she brings to counseling clients, Jaime utilizes her scientific knowledge of the nervous system and overall human physiology to effectively work with clients experiencing a number of issues.
