Cassandra Trevino, LPC-A

Hi, my name is Cassandra. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and have been working in the mental health field for 5 years. I have worked with children ages 4-12 in the school system, and teenagers, adults, and families in the community. I spent time working for a Local Mental Health Authority helping people with severe mental illness and substance use disorders live a recovery-oriented life. I later transitioned to a new position as a Mental Health Clinician in a prison where I helped aggressive mentally ill male offenders learn about managing their emotions. Now, with my wide range of expertise, I am hoping to be a source of support for you in my practice.

I specialize in helping people who are struggling with managing stress, anger, life transitions, and relationships by teaching emotion regulation skills, communication and coping skills, boundary setting, and assertiveness training. As a therapist, I am to guide and support my clients through these struggles by providing a safe environment to explore their concerns and help them learn skills that lead to positive change. I am trained in several treatment modalities and will integrate various forms of treatment to best suit your needs.
